Trumpeter, composer and adored singer, Hugh Masekela is none other than the "founding father of South African jazz". He was particularly noted for his jazz compositions and his openly anti-apartheid songs such as "Bring Him Back Home".
He also reached number one on the US pop charts in 1968 with his version of "Grazing In The Grass". It is included in this best of, which is released for the first time on (double) vinyl and constitutes the ultimate collection of this world-symbolic artist in the fight against oppression.
