Endorsed from their first album, 'From the Hills Below the City,' released in 2013, by bands such as Alabama Shakes and The Lumineers (whose opening acts they supported), Houndmouth is the subject of much anticipation with their second album across the Atlantic… and beyond.
The sound of the band, originally from New Albany and consisting of Matt Myers (vocals, guitar), Katie Toupin (keyboards, vocals), Zak Appleby (bass, vocals), and Shane Cody (drums, vocals), is based on the perfect vocal harmony of the four Americans combined with a powerful folk-rock rhythm section, all imbued with blues and soul sounds in the purest tradition of US music.
Recorded in Nashville with producer Dave Cobb, 'Little Neon Limelight' showcases the evolution of a band that now successfully conveys the stage power acquired during a long world tour to present their first album, and a studio maturity that allows them to brilliantly mix garage rock influences and acoustic ballads on this new album.
In 2015, Houndmouth returned to drag their rock-folk-soul boots to (re)introduce you to Americana, the plains of Kentucky, and far beyond!
