The third opus by HK & les Saltimbanks, titled "Rallumeurs d'étoiles" (Star Relighters), is inspired by a line from Apollinaire: "It is high time to relight the stars." This album is conceived as both a tribute and a utopia. It's an ode to all the anonymous "star relighters" who, every day, in their own small way, through a gesture, a commitment, a word, or a creation, keep a light burning. It's an album with a resolutely artistic and creative commitment, "without hatred, without weapons, and without violence."
Love, music, travel... so, farewell to HK, the committed singer? Certainly not, but perhaps this commitment has become more subtle, more mature. Everything he is, everything he fights for, everything he defends, HK explains in the song "A nous d'jouer" (It's Our Turn to Play), looking back on his journey: 20 years of writing and music, from the housing projects of his neighborhood to the biggest festivals; 20 years of fighting against all forms of prejudice, labels, and preconceived notions. 20 years that, he hopes, will call for another 20.
