20 years after her first album Hilary Hahn plays Bach, recorded when she was 17 and crowned with great critical and popular success, the violinist returns to the works for solo violin by the composer and completes, at 38, her cycle of sonatas and partitas. It is Sonatas No. 1 and 2 as well as the first partita that make up this new opus, recorded for Decca Classics. Just as Hahn knew that her first album had to be dedicated to Bach, despite the skepticism of more experienced figures in the music industry, she also knew that the time to record the rest of the set had now come.
