Originally released in 1914, this music went through three versions, but only the 1920 version is still available.Using violin, viola, and electronic\/synthesizer sounds, the new score gives the film a more contemporary, sometimes dissonant dimension, without forgetting the esoteric and mysterious aspects of the Golem myth from Jewish folklore. In a medieval Prague ghetto, the Golem, a mass of clay animated by a magical parchment implanted in its chest, is summoned as a protector and avenger.The soundtrack premiered on March 7, 2025, in a Parisian cinema near the Place de l'Étoile, at the invitation of Vincent Glaume (organizer of the legendary Au-delà du Silence events in France, who originally proposed the idea to Kopp). It was also presented at the Wroclaw Industrial Festival in Poland in October 2025.Hermann Kopp began recording songs on tape in the 1970s, blending his violin with an imitation Moog synthesizer in a very personal and minimalist musical approach, with lyrics flirting with surrealism. After a mini-LP in 1981 and his album \"Pop\" in 1983, he became the fifth member of the experimental synthesizer group Keine Ahnung. Following the group's breakup, Kopp was contacted by filmmaker Jörg Buttgereit to contribute to the soundtracks of \"Nekromantik\", then \"Der Todesking\", and finally \"Nekromantik 2\".
