The legendary band HELMET is back with a new album, Seeing Eye Dog, following 2006's Monochrome. It took four years of waiting, further lineup changes, and the creation of their own label with singer/songwriter Joe Henry to finally release this seventh opus, produced by Page Hamilton himself, Toshi Kasai (Big Business), and Mark Renk. The 2010 lineup consists of Hamilton, Kyle Stevenson, Dan Beeman, and Chris Traynor. Seeing Eye Dog features ten new tracks, including a cover of The Beatles' "And Your Bird Can Sing," and is inspired by Hamilton's film work, as he has been composing soundtracks for over 17 years alongside Elliot Goldenthal. Freer in their work, the band has enriched Helmet's traditional vocabulary with love and patience, adding cinematic soundscapes that will also be enjoyed live in France this winter... and on CD from the fall, as this new album includes a bonus live disc!
