The interaction between synthesizer and guitar becomes more refined, shaping structures that are both deliberate and unstable, blending precision with latent volatility. The album unfolds with a palpable tension, its tracks oscillating between propulsion and fragmentation without ever settling. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the album is reissued on May 22 in a limited edition on orange vinyl, hand-numbered to 500 copies. A striking testament to Heldon at its peak.\n\nRichard Pinhas, of Heldon, has never hesitated to acknowledge his influences while creating music distinctly separate from his sources of inspiration. He has, for example, clearly stated that Robert Fripp's guitar style, and the fusion of rock with avant-garde electronics (notably in collaboration with Brian Eno), were a major source of inspiration. Indeed, Heldon's fifth album, Un Rêve Sans Conséquence Spéciale (1976), takes its name from a bootleg recording of a King Crimson concert.\n\nPinhas first met Fripp in 1974. The two became friends and have remained in touch ever since. Pinhas was even offered a contract with E.G. Records, the label that managed King Crimson as well as other successful groups like Roxy Music and ELP. \"It was a dream,\" says Pinhas. \"But at 22, you're in a hurry. They asked me to wait a year or two before joining the team. I couldn't wait two years! At 22, that's way too long.\"\n\nPinhas therefore chose another path. He launched his own label, Disjuncta, which he later sold to acquire the Moog synthesizer that would radically transform Heldon's sound. Beyond musical references, Heldon's work also drew inspiration from radical science fiction (Philip K. Dick, Norman Spinrad, etc.) as well as philosophy. The cover of his fifth album quotes Nietzsche and the Vicious Circle (1969) by Pierre Klossowski. This book profoundly influenced thinkers such as Jean-François Lyotard, his thesis supervisor at the Sorbonne, and Gilles Deleuze, another mentor and friend of Pinhas until the end of his life.","brand":"Heldon","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57475784409432,"sku":null,"price":20260522.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/4015698656794.jpg?v=1780958344","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/heldon_un-reve-sans-consequence-speciale-heldon_2026_lba","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
