Hedvig Mollestad Thomassen is a guitar-heroine of our time. She borrowed her mother's acoustic guitar at the age of 10 and later delved into her father's rock and jazz record collections. She subsequently received an electric guitar and an amplifier and never looked back. Her guitar seems to have been forged from the same steel as Hendrix, Tony Iommi, and Jimmy Page and molded in the free-jazz of Sonny Sharrock/Fred Frith. "All Of Them Witches," like the trio's previous album, "Shoot!" (2011), offers, with their friends Elephant9 and Grand General, a new progressive wave of Norwegian avant-garde rock music with free-metal energy. Instrumentals recorded live in the Ocean Sound island studios.
