Hatebreed's singer, Jamey Jasta, described Supremacy as a "total assault of brutality completely charged with adrenaline and in your face," and who are we to argue (in fact, we would be afraid to do so)?! Hatebreed emerged from the hardcore scene in Connecticut (they kind of invented it) and recorded acclaimed albums for Victory and Universal before joining Roadrunner for this 2006 album, which marked the debut of guitarist Frank "3 Gun" Novinec. The sonic assault of Supremacy led it to #31 on the charts, but there is more than just invading riffs; Jasta's personal statement (reproduced on the insert) stands out for its honesty and quasi-Nietzschean philosophy, as well as the lyrics (for example, "Mind over All"; "Self Supremacy") following the same example. Remastered by Mike Milchner at Sonic Vision.
