Recorded "at home" with a group of musician friends, 'The Minute Hours | Les Heures Secondes' took over a decade to come to fruition. It is an ambitious album, vaster than its predecessors, more 'multiple' in the paths it takes. However, we still find the twilight acoustic universe of the Belgian musician, built from her guitar and piano, here traversed by a choir of human voices, agitated brass and reeds, the bow strokes of a textured cello, suggestions of dissonances. Borrowing from film music, classical music, as well as less direct influences such as 80s D.I.Y. post-punk, Brazilian music, and even free jazz, 'The Minute Hours / Les Heures Secondes' seeks strong atmospheres.
