In 2011, Aquarius, the first album by Haken, was released, a discovery from England. For many, it was one of the most beautiful new releases in a predominantly metal style but not only. With this new status as an anticipated band, Haken surprised everyone by quickly releasing their second album. With Mountain, the third and new album, Haken develops an uninhibited music that is perfectly coherent with the overall concept. The jazz or flamenco breaks, the overflow reminiscent of Liquid Tension Experiment, and the orchestrations of the Haken String Quartet are all moments of pure musical jubilation. A great diversity is essential. Some tracks even show a more cheerful side, on the edge of Progressive Rock. The English have thus succeeded in their bet to compose an exciting album from start to finish.
