On had known him as a singer-songwriter "the old way" then as the leader of a rough group that went to record "Off the Map" alongside Steve Albini. Back with a new album, H-Burns shows once again that one can change constantly without ever renouncing oneself. Calmer, more pop, more polished, more Californian, Night Moves was produced by the too rare Rob Schnapf (producer of great records by Beck, Elliott Smith, and Guided by Voices) with the collaboration of musicians as prestigious as A.A Bondy or Troy Von Balthazar. Upon arrival: eleven songs as many variations around the same theme, the night of Los Angeles, where one encounters, among others, the ghosts of Elliott Smith, Brian Wilson, Neil Young, Roy Orbison, or Bruce Springsteen.
