En parallèle de la bande originale du film Disney "Casse-Noisette et les quatre royaumes" où Gustavo Dudamel a dirigé les pièces orchestrales inspirées du ballet de Tchaïkovski, le chef d'orchestre fait paraître son interprétation de l'oeuvre original du compositeur avec l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Los Angeles. Cet enregistrement vient célébrer les 10 ans de collaboration entre l'orchestre et le chef d'orchestre."Casse-noisette" est devenu, depuis sa création en décembre 1892, un véritable symbole musical. Le soir de Noël, Clara reçoit de sononcle un casse-noisette. Pendant la nuit, une merveilleuse féerie commence : dans le salon, les jouets s'animent et le casse-noisette se transforme en prince. La musique de ce ballet est certainement une des plus populaires aujourd'hui.
