After Son Of Sun, a highly acclaimed first EP on the excellent London label On The Corner, Moroccan Guedra Guedra presents Vexillology; an elevation of tribal and futuristic consciousness within underground musical realms. The album offers listeners an immersive experience made up of hypnotic and rhythmic arrangements, rooted in ancient culture. Referencing both sub-Saharan and North African cultures, Guedra Guedra presents a synthesis of his pan-African appreciation and a total immersion in the traditional rhythms of these lands, particularly within the Berber culture found in countries like Morocco, and across Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, northern Mali, northern Niger, and beyond. The entire work is a complete celebration of the cultural roots bubbling in the homes of the global underground.
