{"product_id":"grive_tales-of-uncertainty-vinyl_2024_lad","title":"TALES OF UNCERTAINTY (vinyl)","description":"The song thrush is a migratory bird with no strict borders. Its clear, resonant song is recognizable by its alert rhythm, the repetition of patterns, and the diversity of its strophes (complex, varied, and inventive vocal emissions). Each singer has their own repertoire, which may include imitations: thus, the song can, to a certain extent, reflect the bird's habitat.This ornithological description may encourage you to observe birds more closely. Its primary purpose, however, is to urge you to approach the project at hand with your heart and senses: GRIVE, a bird's name for a contemporary (post-?) rock band. - - Agnès Gayraud (La Féline) and Paul Régimbeau (Mondkopf, Oiseaux-Tempête, FOUDRE! , Autrenoir, Extreme Precautions) share a taste for freedom, experimentation, and the search for new sounds. While their collaboration took flight in early 2021 with the release of an EP, the two musicians began an experimental phase in 2015 at the Performing Arts Forum in Saint-Erme*, Picardy: in these rural landscapes, they sketched out a new sound, both frontal and contemplative, in which to embed stories of chip shops ('Burger Shack') and emancipation ('How Many Years'), which Tales of Uncertainty, their first album, crystallizes into a singular work.Recorded live (at Studio Mer Noir in Paris, then at Mélodium in Montreuil), these eight tracks capture the effervescence and spontaneity of an encounter, revealing an alchemy unlike any other.Shoegaze? Slowcore? Post-folk? The label doesn't matter. Deeply organic, Grive's compositions evoke liminal spaces and wide-open expanses. Marked by the sound of the 90s, they are, in their ambivalence, definitively contemporary: alternately sharp with their nervous guitar riffs or caressing with the thick, round bass of a Moog synthesizer. Here, the approaching storm (is it the heart rumbling?). There, melodies with clear lines and venomous beauty infiltrate the languid and haunting tempos. And as a common thread, Agnès's voice speaks directly to our subconscious reveries, in that infinitesimal border between dream and reality, where everything is uncertain. - - Grive's music has no clock. But it does something with time. 'Wait \u0026 See' is its cautious yet ambitious motto.","brand":"Grive","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55310366802264,"sku":null,"price":20241011.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/3770011636754_e71ebda9-67f0-4ad9-b446-6aa709f227d7.jpg?v=1760318890","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/grive_tales-of-uncertainty-vinyl_2024_lad","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
