All Kinds of Days

Description

Good Sad Happy Bad, comprised of CJ Calderwood, Marc Pell, Mica Levi, and Raisa Khan, continue their collective approach to songwriting and composition on their second album, ‘All Kinds of Days’ (the follow-up to their 2020 debut album *Shades*). The album stems from improvised instrumental sessions, to which each member contributes solo vocals at various points, while often coming together for collective choruses. It touches on themes such as loss, grief, healing, rebuilding, and parenthood, whilst using a disquieting sonic palette of winding guitar riffs, haunted woodwind and raucous electronics, all disguised as pop songs and backed by dynamic percussion and subtly intricate melodies.
