New "Live" album from Gong recorded during their last tour in 2019
GONG was formed in '69 by Daevid Allen (who passed away in 2015), one of the founding members of Soft Machine. Their classic early albums: 'Camembert Electrique', 'Flying Teapot' and 'You' established them as one of the most unique, innovative and experimental rock bands of the 70s.
Pulsing Signals was recorded live at The Wardrobe in Leeds, The Cluny in Newcastle and Rescue Rooms in Nottingham in 2019 during The Universe Also Collapses tour. This was their last tour before the global pandemic took over.
As Gong is an international band, travel restrictions made it impossible to work on new music. During this period, the band received many requests to release a live album and, fortunately, there were recordings from several shows of the 2019 tour. Bassist Dave Sturt selected the best performances, which became Pulsing Signals.
