The often overlooked pioneers of Swedish death metal! Recorded in the early 90s at the legendary Sunlight Studios! Formed in the late 80s under the name Macabre End, God Macabre changed their name in 1991. They released a song for the Pantalgia compilation and an album via the small German label Mangled Beyond Recognition Records before disbanding. Originally released in 1993, "The Winterlong" was recorded at the famous Sunlight Studios in Stockholm in 1991 and produced by Tomas Skogsberg (Amorphis, At The Gates, Entombed). Now fully remastered and available again, the reissue of "The Winterlong" also includes four bonus tracks, including the band's original 1990 demo as well as the unreleased track "Life's Verge", the first new recording from God Macabre in over 20 years.
