It’s hard to know how many times Goat’s mythology and mystery can be evoked, but the new album ‘Medicine’ doesn't dwell on the past and returns with a more introspective and slightly gentler psych-folk sound that remains instantly recognizable. The album's sound sometimes references 70s Swedish psych/prog/folk classics such as Arbete & Fritid, Charlie & Esdor and Träd, Gräs & Stenar. The "medicine" in the title can refer to a number of remedies, or to the value of relationships and love: For our families, our friends, society, this could be through the use of psychedelics, through meditation, by learning from others, by remaining curious and by never settling for a "solid" identity. Whatever your dose, and whatever your remedy, now it's time to take your medicine.
