After two EPs, "Gliz" in 2015 and "Only Sunday" in 2017, Gliz was eager to record a full-length album to showcase their distinctive and unique sound. The formula remains the same: a rock sound played with amplified acoustic instruments whose sounds are distorted, processed, and crushed. With their pre-electricity instruments, Gliz delivers fresh pop infused with the grit and energy of rock. The band fears nothing, disregards conventions and categories, and delivers rich, unique, and captivating music. Take a tuba from a brass band, tear rock patterns from a groovy drum kit, kick grandpa's banjo, electrify this quirky anti-vintage instrumentation... a new sound emerges: organic, rootsy, and modern, sensitive and brutal. It was in 2013 that the three musicians, coming from very different backgrounds, formed Gliz with the desire to create a unique sound. The band started performing in March 2014 and quickly gained recognition in SMAC venues (Moulin de Brainans, La Rodia, La Bobine), café-concerts, festivals, and as opening acts (Orange Blossom, Moriarty...). Electrified banjo, vocals steeped in brutal melancholy, incisive drumming, hybrid bass (half-man, half-tuba) – a joyful yet profound concept that grabs you by the heart and sweeps you away. Come on!
