Formed in Belfast in 2009, the quartet Girls Names quickly attracted attention beyond their hometown with the 2010 release of their debut EP on New York label Captured Tracks. Their second album, The New Life, sees them further diverge from their contemporaries towards a singular sound, one of isolation and individuality produced by Cathal Cully. A cathartic exercise in the shadows, fueled by repetition and psychedelic ambiance. Ad infinitum.
