Nisemono continues the conceptual universe of Ginger Root. Cameron wrote and produced it for a new fictional Japanese idol, Kimiko Takeguchi. Just before her national television debut, Kimiko leaves the project, forcing Cameron to perform "Loneliness," a performance that inadvertently propels him to fame. This cycle is accompanied by a music video for each track, as well as narrative videos broadcast by the fake channel "Juban TV," chronicling Ginger Root's rise. Filmed in the 80s black aesthetic already present in the City Slicker videos, this series develops a more ambitious narrative, offering a visual and conceptual framework for the EP's story. The EP is praised by fans, both old and new, for its captivating story and nostalgic visuals. Ginger Root then embarks on a tour in the United States, Europe, and Japan, where every show is sold out.
