Best of Gilles Dreu. 4 times 20 years, new Best of Gilles Dreu, enriched with 5 unreleased tracks including a new title, 4 times 20 years, written by his lifelong friend Didier Barbelivien, presents a wide panorama of an artist who remains wonderfully young. After a late start (he was then 25 years old) in 1959 in the cabaret and Rive gauche song scene, Gilles Dreu met the artistic director Léo Missir who would hire him. Despite an obvious personality and quality, his first 45s met with little success, and it was on the advice of Hugues Aufray that Gilles Dreu chose a new musical direction that would have a resounding impact with the timeless Alouette. A powerful and sensitive performer, Gilles Dreu then experienced a golden period during which records and concerts followed one another at a frantic pace. After a period of withdrawal during the 80s and 90s, he rediscovered the joy of the stage thanks to the tour "Âge tendre et tête de bois". He has since been traveling across France. At 4 times 20 years, his unchanging voice and presence still enchant.
