{"product_id":"gerry-mulligan-quartet_the-gerry-mulligan-quartet_2018_pia","title":"The Gerry Mulligan Quartet","description":"Waxtime 500 Collection. From their first recordings at the Salle Pleyel in Paris in June 1954 (with Red Mitchell on bass and Frank Isola on drums), Gerry Mulligan's remarkable piano-less quartet, accompanied by the masterful valve trombonist Bob Brookmeyer, performed some of the most intelligent and tasteful music of any small jazz group. For nearly 40 years, Mulligan and Brookmeyer collaborated on more than 50 studio sessions and concerts. This edition contains the Gerry Mulligan-Bob Brookmeyer Quartet's first album, recorded in 1962. On February 25, 1962, the quartet was professionally recorded live at the Village Vanguard by Verve staff. Curiously, only three tracks are mentioned in this discography: \"I Know, Don't Know How,\" \"My Heart Belongs to Daddy,\" and \"Strike Up the Band.\" And for an even stranger reason, only the first track was ever released. It is the last track on this album.","brand":"Gerry Mulligan Quartet","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55304049852760,"sku":null,"price":20181207.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/8436559465250.jpg?v=1772564476","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/gerry-mulligan-quartet_the-gerry-mulligan-quartet_2018_pia","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
