Patience

Description

After two singles in 2002 ("Freeek," which is actually on this album, and "Shoot the Dog") and the BBC incident in 2003 (the artist was censored for a modified cover of "The Grave" by Don McLean), George Michael returns with his first album of original tracks in eight years. Written, produced, and arranged by the singer, this album recalls the excellent "Listen Without Prejudice." "Amazing," the first single, is in the vein of "Fastlove": an unstoppable dance tempo. The same goes for "Flawless." "My Mother Had a Brother," a beautiful piano and voice piece, reflects on the true story of his mother and her brother, who committed suicide because he was homosexual. We will also remember the ballads "Through" and "John and Elvis," in tribute to the departed stars. The album was indeed composed on John Lennon's famous white piano, which George Michael purchased for a staggering price some time ago.
