Internationally renowned cellist, performing in Berlin, London, Paris, Chicago, and Shanghai, creator of an excellence class at the Louis Vuitton Foundation and a member of the jury for the France 2 show Les Prodiges, Gautier Capuçon is today at the peak of his art. In Intuition, his new event album, Gautier Capuçon invites us to travel through the soundscapes that have marked his life. He tells us, with magic and emotion, his own story, alternating virtuosity (OriginalRag by Scott Joplin, Dance of the Elves by Popper, Encore by Jérôme Ducros), melancholy (After a Dream by Fauré, Vocalise by Rachmaninoff, Grand Tango by Piazzolla) and contemplation (Meditation from Thaïs by Massenet, The Swan by Saint-Saëns, Andante Cantabile by Tchaikovsky). He is brilliantly accompanied by pianist Jérôme Ducros and the Paris Chamber Orchestra conducted by Douglas Boyd. Intuition undoubtedly appears, to date, as his most personal album.
