Description

Transporting his cello, his favorite instrument, so often embraced, into very different universes - contemporary jazz, electro, film soundtrack, post-classical, neo-flamenco, pop, ambient, local songs or music from elsewhere... - this decidedly adventurous musician gives it a brilliant modernity and reveals its incredible expressive richness.
Since he has been navigating through the planet of sounds, with a total availability of ear and mind, he has already distinguished himself alongside Rone, Jim O’Rourke, Barbara Carlotti, Bryce Dessner, Arandel. No border stops him, no convention holds him back.
Founder of the VACARME collective and the label, Les disques du festival permanent, Gaspar Claus is already omnipresent on the French scene.
Tancade is therefore his first solo album. Entirely (or almost) instrumental, "Tancade" contains a total of eleven tracks. Most come from sessions held between 2017 and 2021. Resulting from a slow and meticulous, sometimes painful, elaboration, the whole - of high intensity - flows with remarkable fluidity.
The vinyl includes a printed inner sleeve and a 16-page booklet in 30x30 cm risography printed by Studio Fidèle.
This record will be accompanied by an extensive tour in France.
