How Blue Can You Get Edition Limitée

Description

An album of unreleased tracks by Gary Moore!
It is by diving into the archives of the Irish guitarist's family that we gradually find previously unreleased takes or alternative versions that remind us of the mastery of this essential figure of modern blues. It is among these original songs that we discovered "In My Dreams," a succulent ballad on which Gary makes his guitar cry with all its tears, and "Looking At Your Picture," another surprisingly melancholic moment.
But before that, the album starts with a cover of Freddie King’s "I’m Tore Down," which Moore loved to play on stage. Then he takes us into a virtuosic version of the classic by Memphis Slim "Steppin' Out," before slipping in a superb "Done Somebody Wrong" by Elmore James, which showcases his exceptional touch. And what can be said about "How Blue Can You Get," stretching over 7 enormous minutes, never realized until today, which is a tribute as vibrant as it is burning to BB King's hit from 1964. After an alternative version of "Love Can Make A Fool Of You," the record soars into a stratospheric finale with the beautifully painful "Living With The Blues."
