Weaving endless patterns of Afro-Latin drums and percussion throughout these ten tracks of tropical dance, Italian multi-instrumentalist and percussion master, Worldwide FM presenter, and leader of the Yoruba Soul Orchestra, Gabriele Poso, releases his seventh album, Tamburo Infinito, via New York-based Wonderwheel Recordings. Recorded in Lecce, Southern Italy, Tamburo Infinito was almost entirely self-produced (unlike previous productions). Although born in Italy, Gabriele has always sought inspiration and rhythms from across the Atlantic, and this album is no different. This time, his sonic adventures have led him to the French Caribbean islands, such as Guadeloupe and Martinique. He paid close attention to the sound on this record, exploring new ways of recording, through analog tape and various analog tools like analog delay. This is very present throughout the album and gives a new direction to the sound with a psychedelic touch and a stronger dancefloor attitude than before.
