Flo and The Murmurs unveils its first project: 'The Waves'Between the gentle rocking of the surf and the plaintive whistle of the swell, Flo and the Murmurs transposes the vast maritime expanses into an intimate, skin-deep universe. Carried by the clear and limpid voice of singer Marie-Flo Burki and the sensory fabric of a string quartet, the music navigates between experimental folk and contemporary jazz in a neo-classical atmosphere. This first project "The Waves" borrows its words from Virginia Woolf to tell sensual stories filled with images of the natural world. The double bass, cello, viola, violin and voice enter into dialogue to paint a poetic fresco as fragile and melancholic as it is poignant and luminous.
