Before the Beginning Vol 2: Live & Demo Sessions 1970
Description
Before The Beginning offers unreleased live recordings rediscovered in the US purely by chance in exceptionally good condition.
After leaving John Mayall's band in late 1967, Peter Green launched his own project, named Fleetwood Mac after his rhythm section (the drummer and bassist) to avoid drawing too much attention to himself. Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac toured extensively and packed venues from '68 to '70. These exceptional live recordings demonstrate Peter Green's inventiveness and incredible feel, which some at the time didn't hesitate to call "better than Eric Clapton...".
The 3-CD box set includes all of the recently rediscovered live recordings from 1968 and 1970.
Volume 1 (1968) on vinyl includes the first performances of future classics by the band such as "Madison Blues" and "I Need Your Love So Bad," "Long Tall Sally," and "Willie and the Hand Jive."
Volume 2 of the vinyl edition, dedicated to the 1970 recordings, will be released at a later date.
