Flamingods return with the new album «Head of Pomegranate», recorded in Atlanta by Grammy Award-winning producer Ben H. Allen (Animal Collective, Deerhunter, M.I.A.).The highly acclaimed London quartet have been creating their distinctive, genre-defying music for over a decade now.Stylistically and in typical Flamingods record fashion, many genres and sounds are covered. Weaving together genres of psychedelia, new wave, electro, and punk — often within the same song — is somewhat of a specialty for the band, as is their knack for blending influences from their unique cultural heritage and their love of 1970s British rock and roll. "We are a group of mixed-race boys making alternative rock music, which is quite rare in our scene. We are heavily influenced by our heritage but are not concerned with creating traditional or obvious rock music. We prefer to make it our own."
