Flaccid Mojo's tracks are designed for the stage, with a modular arsenal of rhythms, interjections, and soaring moments, always ready for use. The goal is to ensure that the physical and bodily demands of each track reaffirm their hold on the audience. The satisfaction of a loop that repeats until it becomes one with you, the bass line sculpted into a powerful thrust, the snare hit as sharp as an elbow in a mosh pit... One might feel like a ghost passing through another band's album, but Loose Jacks is a brick wall, a weighted blanket, strong hands propelling you to the top of a pile of bodies. It's a liberating experience, devoid of spirituality. A carnal experience. As with their first album, Flaccid Mojo (released in 2022 on Castle Face), Loose Jacks was recorded by Chris Coady, who has been attending Black Dice concerts since the 90s. Similarly, Loose Jacks was mastered by Sarah Register, whose band Talk Normal shared a wall with Black Dice's rehearsal space. Loose Jacks will be released on February 27, 2026.
