It was in 2009 that Kéroué (MC) and Vidji Stratega (MC/Beatmaker) came together to form the group Fixpen Sill. Quickly propelled onto the stage (Olympia, Zénith with the group 1995, Maroquinerie, etc.), the duo joined Nekfeu (1995), Heskis, and Hunam to form the project 5 Majeur. This supergroup established itself as a key player in the resurgence of French hip hop alongside artists such as 1995 and l'Entourage. At the same time, Fixpen Sill developed their refined flow and sharp lyrics. Easily using biting metaphors, their incisive texts are carried by original, impactful, and dense instrumentals. After a 12-track LP (Le Sens de la Formule, 2012) and a 4-track EP (On verra plus tard, 2014), the group released their first album, Edelweiss, on February 5, 2016. Aiming for rapological excellence, driven by a love of words and quality hip hop, Fixpen Sill successfully combines joyful and uninhibited tracks with truly introspective, serious, and conscious phases. To celebrate the 6th anniversary of the project's release, Diggers Factory is pleased to re-release 'Edelweiss' for the first time on limited edition vinyl!
