X-Ray Serenade

The new album by Fischer-Z, "X-Ray Serenade," scheduled for release in September, celebrates the 50th anniversary of the band's concerts. It includes seven new tracks as well as four revisited versions of classics, re-recorded by the current lineup in a decidedly contemporary style. The new songs address themes dear to John Watts: human stories and the state of the world today, seen through the prism of dark humor. Musically, Watts' very distinctive voice is at the heart of this new sound. One of the new tracks, "Strings," has even been reinterpreted in an "Official bootleg" remix by DJ Ingo Wörner. The historic band members, Dave Purdye and Marian Menge, have been joined by Olly Newton and Chloe Leigh. This new lineup has already begun the international 50th anniversary tour.
