"PALOMINO," FIRST AID KIT'S FIFTH STUDIO ALBUM Includes the singles "Angel" & "Out Of My Head" "Palomino" is the fifth album from the Swedish band First Aid Kit. Written and recorded in their home country, Sweden, "Palomino" was created during the dark period of the global pandemic but turns out to be First Aid Kit's most pop album to date. Comprising 11 tracks, it was produced by Daniel Bengtson. "This is the first album we've recorded in Sweden since our debut album 'The Big Black & The Blue' 12 years ago! We worked with Swedish producer Daniel Bengtson in his charming Rymden studio in Stockholm. It was a super fun experience. We really took our time recording; we didn't want to rush. The tracks were mainly written during the pandemic. During this complicated period, music was synonymous with escape, a breath of fresh air from what was happening in the world. We wanted this album to be more optimistic and joyful than our previous album, 'Ruins,' which was a breakup album. This new project is probably our most pop album to date. We found inspiration everywhere – from bands like Fleetwood Mac, Carole King, Tom Petty, T Rex, Elton John, but also Angel Olsen, Whitney, and Big Thief." Led by sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg, First Aid Kit blends folk and pop sounds that are both delicate and profound. Nominated twice for BRIT Awards, the Swedish duo continues to captivate audiences worldwide with their ambitious melodies. After "The Big Black and The Blue" (2010) and "The Lion's Roar" (2012), the band achieved critical success with Stay Gold (2014). The single "My Silver Lining" has accumulated hundreds of millions of streams globally. First Aid Kit boasts numerous collaborations, from Jenny Lewis to George Ezra and Zara Larsson, as well as dozens of syncs in films and series, such as recently The Umbrella Academy on Netflix.
