Rumor has it that fewer than two hundred copies survived when stacks of records were burned on the SATEL premises in the late 1970s, by which time the Marxist revolution had already taken its toll and Ferry was no longer a novelty. It took many years to track down Ferry's heirs across Benin and Nigeria. The album presents one of the most radical examples of African funk and psychedelic African Soul ever recorded, adorned with one of the most striking artworks in the history of African music.
