Captivated by this meeting, they met again to guide their work in a completely unexpected way, focusing on idiomatic improvisation. Through their musical encounters, it became evident and natural to fully explore this musical introspection by recording an album and performing entirely improvised concerts. Two six-day residencies (at Au petit Faucheux in Tours and at L’échalier in St Agil) allowed them to get to know each other, to engage in dialogue, without claims, despite their artistic differences. In this otherness, as if by magic, the music composes itself. The listener becomes an active participant in what they hear, witnessing an alchemy in real time.
