{"product_id":"fauna_taiga-trans_2026_mdl","title":"Taiga Trans","description":"Taiga Trans is the debut album from Fauna, an international eight-piece collective based in Gothenburg, Sweden. The album is a hypnotic collision of Krautrock pulsations, psychedelic ritual, and underground rave energy. It radiates a multicultural, multidimensional sound and vision that feels both grounded in the real and out of this world. Think Goat, Can, and the dancefloor at its most transcendent. The band will embark on a European tour this spring including dates at prestigious festivals (Roadburn, BRDCST), and on January 15th will find them at the ESNS\/Eurosonic festival in the Netherlands. The band describes their first single \"Bland träen\" as follows: “A pulsating dancefloor vibe. Electronic and hand percussion interwoven with hypnotic guitar figures. A sensuous drift through a breathing landscape where time stretches, textures deform and the mind dissolves into the deep moon-drenched forest.” Formed only three years ago, Fauna has its origins in informal, intimate jam sessions hosted by guitarist Tommie Ek and bassist Ibrahim Shabo, two experienced musicians who had played together in Gothenburg’s local rock scene for over a decade. “We’d been in many constellations where we were quite locked in,” Shabo recalls. “So we started to experiment. We recorded a bunch of hand percussion and weird electric guitars and tried to make something with it.” Over the course of recording those demos (and the three singles that followed), the founding duo attracted a cohort of like-minded sonic adventurers, leading to the current lineup of Ek and Shabo, joined by Caroline Kabat (drums), Cuneyd Kocalp (percussion), Jennie Magnusson (guitar), Ibrahim’s sister Alexandra Shabo (vocals), and French flutist Fauna Buvat. In an age when sensations are manufactured, Fauna provides an authentic alternative. “It’s more an organic collective than a classic band,” Shabo says. “Finding a nice, safe, and great bunch of people to hang out with – that’s the most important thing.” Over the past few years, they have built a reputation as an electrifying live act, delivering long, semi-improvised psychedelic rituals. “We try to tell a story when we play live,” Shabo explains. “We try to stay in the vibe as much as possible.” Their debut album, Taiga Trans, offers eight concise tracks of this mesmerizing experience, harnessing the band’s primal energy on stage while making the most of 21st-century spectral sonics.","brand":"Fauna","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":56568030822744,"sku":null,"price":20260410.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/4030433618318.jpg?v=1775682407","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/fauna_taiga-trans_2026_mdl","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
