Antoine "Fats" Domino, a gifted pianist, is one of the founding fathers of rock 'n' roll. In 1956, he recorded "Rock and Rollin'," which features the universally charming track "Ain't That A Shame," a song that would captivate John Lennon and Paul McCartney individually, as well as the Four Seasons, Gary Glitter, and many others. The evocative power of this song also didn't escape George Lucas, who used it in "American Graffiti" in 1973. Clearly one of the great stylists of rock 'n' roll piano, Fats Domino also showcased the breadth of his talents as a singer and composer in this first album.
