LIEDER

Description

While soprano Fatma Said's previous albums with Warner Classics spanned cultures and musical genres, this one focuses entirely on Lieder from the Romantic era: Schubert, Mendelssohn, Schumann, and Brahms. For this new recording, Fatma Said called upon pianists Malcolm Martineau, Joseph Middleton, and Yonatan Cohen, harpist Anneleen Lenaerts, clarinettist Sabine Meyer, the Arod Quartet, the Walhalla zum Seidlwirt vocal ensemble, and baritone Huw Montague Rendall. A program carefully selected by Fatma Said that highlights the poetry of the texts.
