More than 250,000 spectators gathered on Brighton Beach on July 13, 2002, in what was described as "the biggest event the United Kingdom has ever seen." Four times larger than expected, the crowd represented twice the population of Brighton. Whether they were novice ravers, veterans, die-hard fans, or curious locals, the whole world came to Brighton for what would become the biggest free party in British history.
