"Gipsy guitar from Corsica vol.I" is the third album of guitarist Fanou Torracinta. This time he decides to perform under his own name and create a new repertoire, between original compositions and rearranged standards. To do this, he surrounds himself with a high-quality rhythm section made up of the best musicians of his generation. Benji Winterstein from Forbach is on rhythm guitar, William Brunard is on double bass. Bastien Brison, a pianist with formidable swing, a guest on this album, shares two tracks with the trio and a duet with Fanou. He brings to the guitarist's music a vintage swing touch that, combined with the sound of the manouche acoustic guitar, reminds us of the Italian sessions of master Django Reinhardt (The Rome sessions 1949/1950), absolute influences of the young guitarist.
