Arabic funk, with even a visionary punk edge. Long deceased, FADOUL left a legacy of 4 albums. Fadoul was a creative spirit, both painter, comedian and musician, who ultimately poured all his energy into his music. He spent a good amount of time in Paris, fascinated by the music of James Brown and other American groups, laying the foundations for his unique blend of oriental music and Western influences. A recognized artist, Fadoul even composed the music for an advertisement for the largest Moroccan orange juice brand. It was in 1991 that Fadoul passed away, in Casablanca at the age of 50. 45 years later, his first album is finally being reissued, even though the album was only released in Morocco at the time.
