"Ezra Furman switches between costumes and caps with the ease of a Bowie heir." -Les InrocksThe Californian-based American singer-songwriter EZRA FURMAN is back with a new album, Transangelic Exodus, due out on February 9th via Bella Union. The album follows Perpetual Motion People (2015), the characteristic debut of an artist in perpetual search, transition, and transformation. Transangelic Exodus was largely recorded in the studio of producer and saxophonist Tim Sandusky in Chicago. The production's DNA remains intact, well-worn and captivating garage punk, between The Velvet Underground, Jonathan Richman, and 50s rock'n'roll. Addressing topics as diverse as love, gender, sexuality, and religion, the album aims to be a weapon against fascism and the radicalization of thought, advocating freedom and solidarity.FOR FANS OFFather John Misty, Bob Dylan, The Velvet Underground, John Grant, Kevin Morby
