British band Ezra Collective, combining Jazz and afrobeat sounds, present their second album: "Where I'm Meant To Be".
“Where I'm Meant To Be" follows Ezra Collective's self-produced debut album "You Can't Steal My Joy". Since that first release, the band has toured the world, signed with Partisan Records, and released a number of singles, including "More Than A Hustler" (featuring Novelist), "May The Funk Be With You" and "Victory Dance" (the first track from the upcoming album). The band played at the BBC 6 Music Festival earlier this year, as well as a sold-out show at Village Underground in London.
“Where I'm Meant To Be” is a noisy celebration of life, an affirmative uplift of Ezra Collective's winding hybrid sound and refined collective character. The album's artwork references Thelonious Monk's "Underground," and the songs combine cool confidence with brilliant energy. Filled with conversations between band members and the natural product of years of on-stage improvisation, the album – which also features Sampa The Great, Kojey Radical, Emeli Sandé, and Nao – will light up dance floors and soundtrack summer dinners in equal measure.
