LUX (double vinyle)

Description

More than 20 years have passed since EZ3kiel formed in 1992. Creativity is one of the best vectors for longevity. LUX, EZ3kiel's tenth offering, effortlessly confirms this fact. 10 new tracks, which all have in common their ability to grab you from the very first listen. Attempts have often been made to label EZ3kiel's music, in vain. Post-rock, ambient, dub, electronic, or classical music. These are all qualifiers that demonstrate the band's desire to draw from the entire musical sphere, rather than adhering to a specific genre, to create a universe all its own. LUX is rich, overflowing with details, and particularly immersive, where the band enjoys confronting mechanical and organic elements for a resolutely hybrid... and multidisciplinary result. EZ3kiel aims to create a global artistic vision, encompassing music, stage performance, visuals, technology, and interactivity. The release of LUX should therefore not be seen as an end goal, but rather as an introduction. It is the starting point for a new creative space, destined to evolve over time, through performances and its encounter with the public. At the time of EZ3kiel's new album release, more than 20 years have passed since its formation in 1992. And, while few groups can boast such longevity, what stands out most is the band's ability to evolve its music over the years and its refusal to stand still. It's always good to remember that creativity is one of the best vectors for longevity. LUX (recorded at Alma Studio La Riche), EZ3kiel's tenth offering, effortlessly confirms this fact. LUX's universe is rich, overflowing with details, and particularly immersive. LUX can be welcoming and warm ("L'oeil du cyclone"), sometimes more unsettling ("Lux"), or even melancholic ("Never over"), often hypnotizing ("Dead in Valhalla", "Stereochrome"). On each track, EZ3kiel puts all its know-how at the service of atmosphere and emotion. They also know how to call upon talented artists to expand their message. We note here the participation of Pierre Mottron ("Anonymous") and Laetitia Sheriff ("Eclipse") on vocals and Pierre Bloch on violin on two tracks. LUX, while representing a perfectly coherent whole, also depicts a universe where forces oppose each other, where the band enjoys confronting mechanical and organic elements for a resolutely hybrid... and multidisciplinary result. Because, more than bringing musicians together within the same entity, EZ3kiel aims to create a global artistic vision, encompassing music, stage performance, visuals, technology, and interactivity. The release of LUX should therefore not be seen as an end goal, but rather as an introduction. It is the starting point for a new creative space, destined to evolve over time, through performances and its encounter with the public.
