Ten years ago, director David Gordon Green contacted Explosions In The Sky to use one of their tracks for his second film, All The Real Girls. This collaboration blossomed into a friendship, and ten years later, it's no surprise that the director asked the Texans to compose the soundtrack for his new film, Prince Avalanche, written in collaboration with composer David Wingo (leader of the band OLA PODIDA, who composed the rest of the soundtrack for All The Real Girls). Explosions In The Sky excels at transforming life's most mundane moments into unique stories, so it's not surprising to find them in the film's credits. The recording of this soundtrack is, above all, a story among friends. David Wingo, EITS, and David Gordon Green built their respective careers starting from a very similar creative universe: this artistic closeness makes their current collaboration on Prince Avalanche feel like an obvious choice, and the result is highly anticipated.
