After his fruitful period in the 80s, marked by albums such as "La Notte, La Notte" and "Pop Satori", followed by a three-year hiatus, he chose to leave London for New York to record this album with the help of The Valentins' young guitarist, Édith Fambuena. The sound is brilliant, brassy, both powerful and very intimate, as in the hit "Saudade," inspired by his love for Portugal. It is a mature, sensual, and very personal album. The young new wave singer here becomes an artist of great stature, whose songs would mark a generation.
