Esquerita, whose real name was Steven Quincy Reeder Jr., born November 20, 1935, in Greenville, South Carolina, USA, and who died October 23, 1986, in Harlem, was an American rock and roll singer and pianist.Greatly influenced by Little Richard, he recorded for RCA, Brunswick, Capitol, and several smaller labels between 1959 and 1968.
